For centuries Aloe Vera has been applied successfully to stimulate healing of wounds and regenerate cell growth. In modern times man has grown aloe vera on farms, harvested its juice, and processed and preserved it for use in cosmetics and skin care products. Most processed aloe contains only a fraction of the bioactivity of the fresh aloe vera juice. The ActiveAloe™ (from Aloecorp) selected for use in these products activates and stabilizes the biological activities of aloe, resulting in maximum immune stimulation and wound healing. Ayterion Agua™, living water produced by Perfect Science AD, Inc., works synergistically to magnify many-fold the healing and immune-stimulating properties of aloe vera, beta glucan and vitamins A, C and E. Beta-Glucan , a polysaccharide derived from the cell walls of yeast and composed of glucose molecules, activates macrophages, the foundation cells of the immune cascade. Activated macrophages are crucial in the body's ability to heal wounds and produce the ground substances of normal tissue. They produce epidermal growth factor (EGF), which increases the production of collagen and elastin, thus improving the skin's appearance and erasing fine lines and wrinkles. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, also called Fractionated Coconut Oil, is a highly refined medium chain triglyceride (MCT) oil possessing excellent oxidation stability with an almost indefinite shelf life. CCT is a desirable emollient with quick skin penetration and has no color, odor or taste. It improves spreading of skincare formulas. - top -
Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose is a plant-based polysaccharide used for its emulsion stabilizing properties, as well as an aqueous viscosity-increasing agent in cosmetics. It is gluten-free. - top -
Decyl Glucoside is an extremely mild, corn-based surfactant (foaming) agent for cleansing. - top -
Diazolidinyl urea and iodopropynyl butylcarbamate is a vegetable-derived preservative with the trade name Germall Plus. Please see FAQ for more information on this preservative. - top -

Hyaluronic Acid , a natural component of human skin, softens, hydrates and moisturizes skin and stimulates its natural immune system. It is produced synthetically. In our ingredient lists it is called sodium hyaluronate. - top -
Jojoba is an American plant indigenous to the Sonoran desert of Arizona. Native Americans have used Jojoba for centuries to treat skin disorders. A natural, liquid wax ester, Jojoba provides nourishing, odorless, non-greasy moisturization and emolliency. Konjac Glucomannan, obtained from the Asiatic tuber amorphophallus konjac , is both a skin conditioner and a natural thickener. It is a food-grade ingredient. Konjac has been shown in clinical tests to be the #1 skin smoothing ingredient and second only to hyaluronic acid in skin softening. - top -
Lecithin occurs naturally in skin cells and helps to deliver moisturizing agents to the skin. It is also an emulsifier, an agent which allows fats and oils to form stable emulsions with water. We use only vegetable lecithin. - top -
MSM, methylsulfonylmethane, used in our Weekend Warrior Balm, has been shown to promote free movement in muscles and joints when taken internally or applied topically. This is a food-grade ingredient. - top -
Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin form a synthetically produced, non-paraben, non-formaldehyde preservative that is widely accepted as safe for personal care products. We believe it to be the gentlest effective preservative available today. We use the smallest amount possible to keep the products fresh. Please take care to keep containers closed when not in use, and as always wash hands well before putting them in the products or on the face. - top -
Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid. Its primary use is as a food preservative. We use it to inhibit mold and yeast in our Rejuvenating Face Cream. - top -
Shea Butter, from the nut of an oak-like tree of the African savannah, is a slightly ivory-colored, granulated butter consisting mostly of triglycerides and unsaponifiables. Clinical tests have shown that shea butter improves the skin's color and texture, combats skin "thinning," and visibly diminishes wrinkles from photoaging due to prolonged sun exposure. Squalane is an oil-like substance found in human skin. The olive-oil-derived squalane in Novaurora Rejuvenating Face Cream is compatible with human skin, is very mild, yet has powerful skin-softening and water-attracting properties. - top -
Vitamin A improves skin elasticity, epidermal and dermal thickening, and helps reverse photodamage. Retinyl palmitate, the form of Vitamin A in Novaurora products, stimulates skin tissue, collagen production and exfoliation. - top -

All Novaurora products contain organically grown aloe barbadensis Miller, otherwise known as aloe vera. You should not use Novaurora products, if you are among the small number of people allergic to aloe vera.
